Srinagar, Jun 28 (UNI): Panic gripped historic Lal Chowk area on Monday when an unclaimed bag was found in the park by some persons.

Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) posted in the nearby old Palladium cinema and Road Opening Party (ROP) immediately sealed the area and all those in the ‘Time Pass’ park were asked to leave.

Large number of people were sitting in the park as all other paid parks remained closed due to COVID pandemic.

Later, a police party from police station Maisuma checked the bag and found a ‘Khan dress’ in it.

Normalcy returned after about 20 minutes in the area.
