New Delhi, Jun 9: Senior UP Congress leader Jitin Prasada, once a close aid of Rahul Gandhi, on Wednesday joined the BJP ahead of the UP polls.
Forty-seven-year-old Prasada joined the BJP in presence of party leaders– Piyush Goyal and MP Anil Balooni– in the National Capital.
The Congress turncoat, who has a considerable influence in Brahman vote bank in UP, met Union Home Minister Amit Shah before switching parties.The leader hails from Shahjahanpur in UP and had served in the UPA-II government.
