River Police rescues man after he jumps into the river Jehlum

Srinagar, May 28, : River Police Friday rescued a man from Srinagar who allegedly tried to commit suicide by jumping into the river Jehlum near Abdullah Bridge.

Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a man jumped into the river but was quickly rescued by River Police present at Pirzo.

The man was retrieved alive. He has been identified as Rashid Yousuf Dar, a resident of Indira Nagar Sonawar. (KNT)
