JK Employees Joint Action Committee welcomes Mr Arun Kumar Mehta as New Chief Secretary of Jammu & Kashmir

JK Employees Joint Action Committee a united plateform of employees of JK have welcomed Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta as new Chief Secretary of Jammu & kashmir and have expressed hope that under his dynamism UT will touch new heights.

In a press statement President Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC), Chairman Jammu & Kashmir Teacher’s Forum Mohammed Rafique Rather said” I welcome the new chief secretary Mr.Arun Kumar Mehta to this prestigious and responsible post and wish him good luck and I hope the UT of Jammu and Kashmir will touch to its new heights in terms of good, accountable and transparent governance and added that since Dr.A.K.Mahta has a long history of his selfless services in JK, thus is aware of the issues and landscape and has a good reputation in bureaucracy and general public for his honesty, dedication and quick disposal”

Rather said that Mr Arun Kumar Mehta has worked at many important positions in JK from time to time and has acquired a great experience in political, economic and geographical scenario of this land and has acquired a great expertise in administrative skills and added that his intelligence, wisdom and dedication will surely benefit the J&K as a single administrative unit.

Rather in his statement said that he knew Mr Arun Kumar Mehta since long and is fully aware of his credibility, dynamism, honesty and promoter of work culture and extended his full support & cooperation on behalf of his organisation in making the system more transparent and accountable.

Expressing hope that the new chief secretary will adress the long pending issues of the employees of Jammu and Kashmir on priority and added that regularisation of adhoc, daily wagers, consolidated and temperory employees pending for long will receive a sympathetic consideration besides sufferings of Public sector employees and those working under centrally sponsored schemes are addressed on humanitarian grounds.
Mr.Rather assured worthy CS of their unflinching support and cooperation in taking the UT to new hights and added that employees fraternity being an important componant of administration will be at his disposal in government efforts to mitigate the suferings of people during COVID and there after.
