GANDERBAL POLICE ARRESTED SIX GAMBLERS; STAKE MONEY, DECK OF PLAYING CARDS AND TWO VEHICLES WERE SEIZED.

Ganderbal: 22nd May, 2021: Acting swiftly upon a specific information regarding gambling in the jurisdiction of Police Station Lar, Police team led by SHO Police Station Lar Sub Inspector Ghulam Mohiuddin under the supervision of DySP HQRs Ganderbal Dr. Abdul Majid-JKPS raided the place of gambling at Bab Solina Yongora, Lar and arrested six persons on spot. The accused persons were identified as Hilal Ahmad Reshi S/O Sanaullah Reshi R/O Gratbal Safapora, Bashir Ahmad Bhat S/O Asadullah Bhat R/O Safapora, Zahoor Ahmad Khan S/O Abdul Hameed Khan R/O Yongora, Mohammed Shafi Bhat S/O Abdul Ghani Bhat R/O Yongora, Majid Ali Bhat @ Shandaar S/O Ghulam Ahmad Bhat R/O Yongora and Abdul Rashid Mir S/O Mohammed Maqbool Mir R/O Baroosa, Ganderbal. Stake money of Rs/- 7120, a deck of playing cards and two vehicles viz; Hyundai I20 bearing registration No. JK01-AK 8947, Motor Cycle bearing registration No. JK05- B 4071 were also seized on spot.
In this connection, Case FIR Number 14/2021 U/S 188, 269, 270 IPC, 13 Gambling Act was registered at Police Station Lar and investigation taken up.
Community members are requested to extend cooperation to the Police and come forward with such information so that such social crimes are effectively curbed.
