Duo electrocuted in Budgam band saw, one dies

Budgam, May 22, : Two persons were electrocuted while working at a band saw in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district. One of them died while another is battling for life.

The incident occurred at a private band saw located at Sonpah Beerwah area of Budgam.

Local sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that two persons namely Farooq Ahmed Najar (40) of Zanigam village and Ghulam Mohammad Najar (55), a resident of Katiruna hamlet received electric shocks at a band saw.

They were shifted to Sub-District Hospital Beerwah for treatment where one of them identified as Farooq Ahmed was declared dead.

Chief Medical Officer confirmed the death of Farooq Ahmed saying another man is under going treatment. (KNT)
