Kupwara Police arrested 02 militant associates in Main Market Kupwara; 06 live grenades recovered.

Kupwara, May 20: In a Statement police claim Thursday That  On the basis of specific information regarding the movement of ANEs Kupwara Police established a special Naka at main Market Town Kupwara.

During search checking Two persons were found in suspicious condition , on seeing the search party tried to escape from the spot but was chased and apprehended by the search party.

The apprehended persons on preliminary questioning disclosed their identity as;

01. Jahangir Ahmad Hajam S/O Mangta Hajam R/O Khawarpara Tangdhar.

02. Ab Hameed Hajam S/O Mangta Hajam R/O Khawarpara Tangdhar.

On their personal search 06 Live grenades were recovered from their possession which they were to provide to militants.

In this context Case FIR No. 160/2021 U/s 3/4 Explosive Substance Act has been registered in Police Station Kupwara.

Further investigation into the matter is under process
