Body of a shepherd fished out from Jabla Nallah in Uri

Uri, May 20, : Police with the help of locals fished out the dead body of a shepherd who was drowned in a nallah while grazing the cattle in Uri area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Police sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust a shepherd was grazing cattle when he slipped and fell into Jabla nallah.

Efforts were on to trace his body, sources said adding that the body was fished out Thursday morning.

The deceased shepherd has been identified as Altaf Ahmed son of Shair Ahmed, a resident of Gihallan Uri. (KNT)
