JKPA, KEG condole demise of senior journalist Gulzar

Srinagar, May 19 :Jammu and Kashmir Press Association (JKPA) and Kashmir Editors Guild (KEG) have condoled the demise of senior journalist and Resident Editor of Daily Srinagar News Gulzar Ahmad Bhat, who passed away on Tuesday in central Kashmir district of Badgam.
According to a spokesman of the JKPA, the Executive Members of Association today held an emergency meeting chaired by G H Kaloo, to mourn the demise of Gulzar, who died after a prolonged illness.
The members recalled his contribution to journalism, especially when Kashmir Valley was passing through turbulent period of its history and free movement was restricted but he would make his presence felt everywhere.

Gulzar was an embodiment of many virtues and would help people in all situations. His passing away has left a big void, which is difficult to get filled up and as such his death has been mourned widely across a large section of society.
Gulzar’s active role in the activities of JKPA is unforgettable as he would remain part of all delegations of the Association, the members said.
The members prayed for his eternal peace and for his highest place in the Paradise, besides expressed complete solidarity with all members of the bereaved family. Those who Live for Others, never die but remain alive till eternity, so was the deceased, the JKPA said.
Meanwhile, KEG also condoled the demise of seasoned journalist Gulzar, stating that Kashmir media fraternity has lost a dear friend who would always bring cheer to his colleagues by his wit and humor.
