BJP stalwart Chaman Lal Gupta passes away

Jammu, May 18: Senior BJP leader Professor Chaman Lal Gupta passed away today at Narayana Hospital, Katra, Jammu.

Professor Chaman Lal Gupta was a former minister of state in the Government of India. He was Union Minister of State of defence portfolio, food processing and civil aviation.

He was born in 1934 in Jammu and did his M.Sc.from G. M. College Jammu and Allahabad University.

Gupta first became Minister when BJP Government assumed charge under former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Family sources told KNT that Gupta will be cremated at Jogi Ghat Jammu. (KNT
