Imphal, May 8 (UNI) Manipur government has imposed curfew in seven districts considering the rapid spread of Covid 19 infections. Curfew beginning Saturday has been imposed in Imphal West, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Thoubal, Kakching, Churachandpur and Ukhrul till May 17.
MH Khan, Chairman of State Executive Committee said only people belonging to the exempted categories like healthcare, nursing homes, pharmacies, vaccination, medical emergencies, media, power, fire service, etc will be allowed to move.
Manipur Police personnel stopped people and checked the reason for movement and all those violating the curfew were fined.
The District Magistrates of the seven districts today issued separate orders to enforce the prohibitions.
