LAWDA demolishes illegal structures in green belt areas

SRINAGAR, MAY 04: The Enforcement Wing  of Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) today carried out a demolition drive in the area of Nowpora, Saderbal, Baghwanpora Lal Bazar, Shalimar  and Teilbal.

During the drive one ground level raft, one second storey, one single storey (green Belt), one tin shed and three shops were demolished. The violators had resorted to illegal constructions taking the advantage of current lockdown (Covid-19).

Meanwhile, the Lakes & Waterways Development  authorities have warned people residing within LAWDA jurisdiction to desist from undertaking illegal constructions or encroachments.

All the public residing within the LDA jurisdiction & inlake are hereby once again directed not to go for any sort of illegal constructions / encroachments, as the Enforcement wing will continue with demolition of illegal constructions/ removal of encroachments.
