Police arrest forest smugglers, seize 4 horses In Budgam.

J&K Police Claims Big Success Today

Budgam, Apr 24: Police arrested two timber smugglers along with 4 horses laden with illicit timber in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Sources said that these smugglers were arrested from Sugen Bathipora Forest area of Khag by a police party from police station Khag.

“We intercepted duo who were carrying illicit timber on 4 horses. The duo was arrested and horses and timber seized,” a police official told KNT.

He identified the alleged smugglers as Ashraf Khan and Rashid Malik, both residents of Shonglipora Khag.

A case vide FIR number 15/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered in this regard at police station Khag. (KNT)
