New Delhi, Apr 24 (UNI) India registered 3,46,786 fresh cases of COVID-19 and 2624 casualties in the past 24 hours, the highest single-day spike in terms of cases and deaths since the outbreak of the pandemic, according to the data updated by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday.

The fresh addition took the total tally to 1,66,10,481 while the death toll soared to 1,89,544.
