GANDERBAL POLICE ACTS TOUGH AGAINST ILLEGAL MINING OF MINERALS FROM NALLA SIND

Ganderbal, April 05:Continuing its drive against the illegal mining of minor minerals from Nalla Sindh, Police party from Police Station Lar headed by Insp.Gh Hassan conducted a raid in Watalbagh area of district Ganderbal and seized 05 no.s of tippers loaded with Riverbed Material.

In this connection Case FIR No 08/2021 under section 21 MMRD Act was registered in PS Lar and 5 persons were also arrested.

In this backdrop SSP Ganderbal Shri Suhail Munawwar Mir-JKPS appealed public not to indulge in illegal extraction of minor minerals from environmentally sensitive lands and Nallas to prevent disasters. He further said this drive would continue through out the District in coming days and any one found violating will be dealt strictly under law.
