Bangladesh to impose 7-day lockdown from Apr 5

Dhaka, Apr 3 : Amid a recent spurt in the cases of novel coronavirus, the Bangladesh government is most likely to impose a seven day lockdown to curb the spread of the dreaded virus.
According to the Friday figures, the country reported 50 deaths in 24 hours, taking the tally of fatalities to 9,155 while 5,358 cases were logged on Wednesday – highest since the pandemic broke out in the country in March last year.
State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain while speaking to Bangladeshi media said every office and court will be closed during this lockdown but industries and mills will continue their operation on rotation.
