Marathwada reports 4831 new cases of COVID-19

 

Aurangabad, Mar 24; Marathwada region of Maharashtra on Wednesday recorded 4,831 cases of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours while 51 people lost their lives in the same period.

Of the eight districts of Marathwada, Aurangabad reported a massive spike of 1791 cases and 25 fatalities, followed by Nanded 1330 cases and 10 deaths, Jalna 553 cases and 6 deaths, Parbhani 270 cases and five deaths, Latur 441 cases and two deaths, Beed 207 cases and 2 deaths, Hingoli 109 cases and one casualty and Osmanabad 130 cases.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra, which is the worst pandemic-hit state of the country reported 28,699 cases and 132 fatalities on Tuesday.
