In the National Capital Delhi, the prices of petrol and diesel currently stand at Rs 91.17 and Rs 81.47 per litre respectively. The prices had last increased on February 27 when they had risen by 24 paise and 15 paise per litre respectively taking their overall price rise to record level.

According to the domestic oil marketing company Indian Oil Corporation(OIC), as on Tuesday the prices of both petrol and diesel have remained stable. Experts are of the opinion that the prices of petrol and diesel are likely to remain stable in the near future as four states and one union territory is going for Assembly polls.

Whatever changes are likely to happen in the prices will take place only once the elections are over, they said.
