132 Fresh Covid-19 Cases Reported In J&K, Nearly 1000 Infections Added To Surging Tally In One Week

 

Srinagar, Mar 22: Jammu and Kashmir reported 132 fresh covid-19 cases as nearly one thousand fresh infections were added to the surging tally in last one week alone.

Official sources told GNS that among the fresh cases which include 28 travelers, 104 were from Kashmir Valley and 28 from Jammu Division, taking the total case tally to 128679, 945 cases reported since March 15 last.

Giving the district-wise details, the officials told GNS that Srinagar reported 77 cases including 16 travelers, Baramulla 6, Budgam 4, Pulwama 6, Kupwara 1, Anantnag 2, Bandipora 2, Ganderbal 2, Kulgam 3, Shopian 1, Jammu 25 (7 travelers), Udhampur 1, Rajouri 1, Doda 0, Kathua 1, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 0, Ramban 0, and Reasi 0.

A number of cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratories of CD hospital and GMC Anantnag.

The CD cases include female (65) from Umer Colony, male (80) from Chanapora, male (35) from Magam, male (32) from Batmaloo, male (28) from Hyderpora, two males (31, 41) from BB Cantt, male (27) from Anantnag, female (40) from Tulbagh, female (80) from Lal Bazar.

The GMC Anantnag case include male (41) from Wangam.

Meanwhile, they said, 86 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—17 from Jammu Division and 69 from Kashmir. So far, 125362 persons have recovered—51381 in Jammu and 73981 in Kashmir. There are 1336 active cases—290 in Jammu division and 1046 in the Valley while 1981 people have died, 732 in Jammu division and 1249 in the Valley. (GNS)
