World Arbor Day celebrated at Govt. Women Polytechnic Srinagar.

 

 

A plantation drive in association with Rahim Green was conducted on 20th March 2021 at Govt. Polytechnic for Women ,Srinagar. All the faculty and students participated in the drive. Mr. Abdul Hamid Bhat, CEO Rahim Greens was Chief guest on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion ,Mr. Hamid said that he had a mission of “Go Green”which aims at planting one million trees out of which 2.5 lakhs plants have already been planted. He appealed everyone to pledge that they would plant trees wherever and whenever they get a chance.

Mrs. Masrat Farooq, Incharge Plantation/Lecturer, OMCA highlighted the importance of such drives. She laid stress on the fact that plants needed to be planted and nurtured as these are the sole givers of life to the entire humanity. She appealed to the students to take active part in such activities. Students were highly enthusiastic and motivated in planting trees in the campus..

Mr. Manzoor A Kumar, Principal Women Polytechnic thanked all participants for making the program a success and encouraged the faculty and students to take the spirit further and farther in their lives.
