British PM likely to visit TN during his Indian tour next month

Chennai, Mar 20:  British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is likely to pay a visit to Tamil Nadu during his India tour next month.

He is likely to be in Tamil Nadu from April 26 to 28.

Airport sources said he is likely to visit Madurai, though an official

confirmation is awaited.

A seven-member advanced high security team from Britain will arrive

in Madurai from New Delhi tomorrow to review the security arrangements

and inspect the facilities.

From Madurai, they will reach Chennai in the evening for security inspections

after which they would leave for Pune on Monday morning.

It will be Mr Boris Johnson’s first bilateral visit to India.

Though the visit of advanced high security team has confirmed the British

Prime Minister’s visit, the places where Mr Boris Johnson would visit would

be known after the team’s arrival.
