Sopore Grenade Blast: One Of the 2 Injured Cops Discharged After First Aid, Says SSP Sopore

Srinagar, Mar 13 : Two SPOs suffered minor injuries in a grenade blast on Police post near Bus Stand in Sopore area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday.

Official sources told GNS that militants hurled grenade at Police Post at Bus stand. In this incident, two SPOs—Mohammad Afzal and Azad Ahmad — received minor injuries and were shifted to nearby health facility.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Sopore, Javaid Iqbal told GNS one of the injured was immediately discharged after first aid while another also has minor injuries. He said that a case has been registered and investigations have been set into motion.

Meanwhile, sources said, entire area was cordoned off immediately to nab the fleeing militants, they said. (GNS)
