KULGAM POLICE ARRESTED DRUG PEDDLER AND RECOVERED CONTRABAND SUBSTANCE

 

Kulgam March 9 : District Police Kulgam continuing its unwavering efforts to eradicate the Menace of Drugs.A special Naka at Sempora Derpora Crossing was established by the Police party of Police Station Behibagh on the directions of SHO Behibagh Insp. Sabzar Ahmad and a vehicle bearing registration Number JK22-6514 (Chevrolet Sail) was stopped. Going through checking 20 grams of Heroin like substance and weighing machine were recovered from the possession of one person boarding in the said vehicle namely; Mohd Iqbal Shah S/O Mohd Amin Shah R/O Munnad Yaripora who was arrested on spot and vehicle used in commission of crime was seized; In this regard Case FIR No. 09/2021 U/S 8/22 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Behibagh and further investigation is in progress.

Public is requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddling or any other anti social activity in their vicinity.
