Sensex rebounds over 400 pts

Mumbai, Mar 8 The BSE Sensex on Monday bounced back by 419 pts to 50,824.49 as buying was seen across the board.

The Nifty too rose by 126.85 pts to 15,064.95.

The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 50,985.77 and 50,575.16 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 15,111.15 and 14,984.60 respectively.

In 30 scrips 20 advanced while 10 declined.

The gainers were ONGC by 4.74 pc to Rs 120.35, L & T by 3.72 pc to Rs 1518, Axis Bank by 2.28 pc to Rs 748.85, NTPC by 1.79 pc to Rs 110.70.

The losers were Ultracemco by 1.91 pc to Rs 6680, Bajaj Auto by 1.82 pc to Rs 3783.25, Bajaj finance by 0.96 pc to Rs 5392 and Indusind Bank by 0.89 pc to Rs 1030.45.
