Class 10th and 12th exams to be held as per schedule: M’rashtra School Edu Min

Mumbai, Mar 5 :  Maharashtra School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad informed that board exams for classes 10th and 12th will be held as per the schedule.
“Board examinations for classes 10th and 12th will be held as per the schedule declared. While the health of students is our primary concern, we also want to make sure that their academic year does not go to waste,” said Gaikwad.
She further said that discussions are underway with various education experts in the state regarding the preparedness of the examination and added that the syllabus of class X and XII has been reduced and the paper pattern has been fixed by the state education board.
Ms Gaikwad informed that schools will be notified soon regarding the first to ninth class examinations as well.
Meanwhile, Minister Gaikwad said in the Legislative Council on Thursday that the pay scale will be implemented for the graduate teachers teaching classes VI to VIII as per the government decision dated October 13, 2016.
The National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) has made changes in the qualifications of teachers teaching upper primary ie sixth to eighth classes.
Accordingly, as per the government circular issued on October 13, 2016, instructions have been given at the regional level to implement a pay scale for teachers, she added.
