South Kashmir: 02 Mlitants killed in Anantnag woods, operation on: IGP Kashmir

Srinagar, February 24: Two militants have been killed in an ongoing gunfight in Shalgul forest in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday.

Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar told GNS that two militants have been killed in Shalgul forest.

It is a deep forest however forces managed to enagage militants, the identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained, IGP added.

Earlier, Reports reaching GNS that a joint team of Police and Army’s 3RR launched a cordon and search operation in Shalgul forest.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight.(GNS)
