New Delhi, Feb 23: A Delhi Court on Tuesday granted bail to Bengaluru-based climate activist Disha Ravi in the toolkit case.
Additional Sessions Judge Dharmender Rana passed the order and asked her to furnish a bail bond of Rs one lakh and two additional sureties.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Police on Tuesday filed a petition in a local court, seeking an extension of Disha Ravi’s police custody by another four days.
A local court had extended Ravi’s custody by 24 hours on Monday.
On February 20, Delhi Police had said that Ravi was preparing the toolkit with those advocating for a Khalistan state and was part of a ‘global conspiracy’ to defame India and create unrest in the country, ‘in the garb of farmers’ protest’.
The police alleged that Ravi deleted WhatsApp chats, emails and other evidence and was aware of legal actions she could face.
Earlier, on February 14, a local court sent Ravi to five-day police custody, after the agency said her custodial interrogation was required to probe an alleged larger conspiracy against the Union Government and to ascertain her alleged role relating to the Khalistan movement.
Ravi was arrested by a Cyber Cell team of the Delhi Police from Bengaluru on February 13 and was produced before a court in New Delhi, seeking her police custody for seven days.
