Cold wave continues in Kashmir, dense fog in Srinagar

Srinagar, There was a slight improvement in the cold conditions in Srinagar as a result of partial cloud cover, even as dense fog covered the whole Srinagar, creating problems for the people.

As per Kashmir Weather, an independent weather forecaster, the minimum temperature in Srinagar marked slight improvement from the previous night’s minus 8.4 degrees Celsius to settle at minus 7.6 degrees Celsius.

The night temperature in Qazigund in south Kashmir settled at the low of minus 8.3, compared to previous night’s minus 10.0°C.

The minimum in Kupwara, in north Kashmir, went up from minus 6.7 degrees Celsius yesterday to settle at minus 5.7 degrees Celsius, while Kokernag town in south registered the low of minus 8.4 degrees Celsius.

The hill resort of Pahalgam in south Kashmir recorded a minimum of minus 8.6 degrees Celsius, making it the coldest place in the Valley.

The famous ski-resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir registered the low of minus 5.5 degrees Celsius.

Kashmir Weather has forecast mainly dry weather till 22nd January with a chance of rain and snow after that.
