President summons Parliament session on Jan 29

New Delhi, President Ram Nath Kovind has summoned the Parliament Session on January 29, the Gazette notification said here on Thursday.

“In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by clause (I) of the article 85 of the Constitution, I hereby summon the Lok Sabha to meet at New Delhi on Friday, the 29th January, 2021 at 11.00 AM”, the President’s order published in the Gazette said.

On January 29, President Kovind will also address both houses, while the Union Budget will be presented on February 1.

The budget session will be held in two parts. The first part will run from January 29 to February 15 and thereafter from March 8 to April 8.
