Independent woman DDC member joins PC in Srinagar

Srinagar, Dec 24 : A woman independent candidate who has won from a Srinagar seat in District Development Council (DDC) has joined Peoples Conference (PC), party general secretary Imran Raza Ansari announced this evening.
A spokesman of the PC taking to micro-blogging site Twitter said this evening that “We are pleased to welcome Ali Mohd Sb from Harvan into the Peoples Conference. He joined in presence of party General Secretary Mr @imranrezaansari”. He further said “ His wife won the DDC elections from Barji, Harvan as an independent candidate”.
He further said “today Ali Mohd Sb of Harvan Barji joined @JKPC_in my presence. His wife was Independent DDC candidate from said area who won with a huge margin”.
Mr Ali Mohammad was heard in a video message that they were not given mandate by the National Conference (NC) . Later we fought the election as independent candidate, he said adding we won with huge margin. It was a homecoming for us to join PC, he said adding his wife has authorized her to choose her next step. We will for the people of the area irrespective of any creed, colour and religion, he said.
