Karachi, Dec 23 (UNI) At least seven people were killed and 16 others injured in an explosion at a factory in Karachi, police said.
The incident took place inside an ice and cold storage factory on Tuesday. The Geo News quoted Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Moeenuddin as saying.
According to the DSP, the building was “destroyed” and nearby factories were also damaged.
The authorities have ordered a probe into the incident, according to the broadcaster.
Many people are likely buried underneath the factory’s rubble. Rescue operation was underway.
