DC Ganderbal kick starts JK Premier League in district

GANDERBAL, DECEMBER 05: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today Kick started JK Premier League here at Madri Meharban Ground Ganderbal.
The 15 days long tournament is being organized by District Youth Services and Sports Council in collaboration with the district administration during which several sports events viz. Football, Volleyball, Kabaddi and Hockey shall be played at different venues like Madri Meharban Stadium, Indoor Hall Sephora and Govt. College of Physical Education Gadoora.
The winners of District Level Competitions will compete at State Level Competitions in these four Games.On the occasion, the DC appreciated the organizers and urged them to encourage youth towards sports activities by way of organizing more sports activities at different levels so that more and more youth are involved
in these activities.
While complimenting the players, DC said that district administration is committed to provide better sports
Facilities to the youth within the district and will provide all possible support in organizing sports events in the district.
Present on the inaugural function include Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad, Prof Govt. College of Physical Education Gadoora, Sheikh Mohamad Shafi,District Secretary Kabaddi Association Ganderbal, Raja Yaqoob, President District Hockey Association, B.A.Dar, President District Football Association, Muneer Salam, District Secretary Volleyball Srinagar, Shafqat Ahmad Manager J&K Sports Council, Shabir Ahmad, Yoga Coach J&K State Sports Council and other concerned.
