Two JeM militant associates arrested in Awantipora

Srinagar, November 21: Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested two Jash-e-Mohammad militant associates in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Awantiopora.

In a statement to GNS, the police said that it arrested two militant associates with outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad from Tral and Pampore area who are involved in providing shelter, support, logistics as well as in transporting of arms/ ammunition of the militants in Pampore & Tral area and passing sensitive information to the militants of outfit JeM.

The statement further states that, The arrested militant associates have been identified as Bilal Ahmad Chopan resident of Wagad Tral and Mursaleen Bashir Sheikh resident of Chatlam Pampore.

Incriminating material has been recovered from both the arrested persons.
Case F.I.R number 96/2020 and 90/2020 stands registered against the said arrested persons in Police Station Tral and Police Station Pampore respectively under relevant sections of the law, reads the statement.(GNS)
