Abrogation of Article 370 was in BJPs agenda since 70 years: Kavinder Gupta

Jammu, Nov 18 (KNS): Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Cheif Minister J&K Kavinder Gupta said that abrogation of Article 370 was in the party manisfesto since 70 years and we had made it public before the country that once BJP comes into power with strong mandate, the special status of J&K will be taken away.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Gupta who was speaking with reporters in Jammu said that BJP was telling it since 70 years that Aricle 370 will be taken away if party comes into power with strong mandate. He said earlier we were in guise of Jan Sangh, then Parija Parishad and now BJP and thereby we fulfilled our promise made to the countrymen.

He asserted that entire country is on the same page over repealing of Article 370 and there is none unhappy over the decision.

The BJP leader said that our election manifesto in forthcoming DDC polls will remain about development of J&K. “We want a developed Jammu and Kashmir. We wish to carry every walk of life along to ensure a comprehensive development in J&K”, Gupta said.

He claimed that people of Jammu and Kashmir have understood the vitality of BJP in terms of development and it is why people are joining us today with open heart. “Today a sizable number of Muslims in J&K are associated with BJP Muslim brothers are carrying tricolor on their shoulders and collectively the entire atmosphere has changed”, the BJP leader asserted.

Gupta while hitting hard to regional mainstream political parties said that they have looted the public exchequer by decieving people in the name of hollow slogans. He said these parties have made a good wealth for their kith and kin and left poor to suffer.

He added, “I am doing politics since 45 years but yet homeless due to little financial resources and thereby is unable to understand how local mainstream parties who ruled J&K for decades made assets worth billions in cash and kind.

“Lakhs of daily wagers on daily basis are protesting for regularization. They have been left unattended so far. Our MA and MBA youths are moving from pillar to post for mere Class-IV employement. Go to New Delhi, Noida and other places and see how qualified youth are enjoying luxurious life style”, Gupta added.

Gupta claimed those hoodwinked people of J&K so far have understand their shops are about to close after BJP made inroads in the Union Territory. (KNS)
