Two more live shells defused in Kamalkote Uri: Police

Uri, Nov 17 : Police on Tuesday defused two more live shells near Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir’s Kamalkote sector, officials said.

SDPO Uri Junaid Wali while confirming to KNS said that two more live shells were located and defused by Bomb Disposable Squad in Kamalkote area.

He said the recent CFV from across the border left many shells unexploded which pose a great threat to the life and property of people.

SDPO added that soon after calm prevailed at LoC ,on the directions of SSP Baramulla Police uri started a drive along with concerned Army units to dispose off unexploded shells. He further said that an unexploded shell was also found in a residential house at Kamalkote Uri area which was later defused by BDS of 8RR Army Unit (KNS)
