Rs 60-80 lakh looted from cash van near JK Bank Branch Shopian

Srinagar, Nov 5 (GNS): Unknown gunmen on Thursday looted cash from cash van near Tak Mohallah near main branch of Jammu and Kashmir bank at Shopian in south Kashmir, officials said.

A senior police officer told GNS that at least four gunmen attacked the van and decamped with cash which is said to be around Rs 60-80 lakhs even as official confirmation as to the total amount looted is awaited.

A police officer told GNS that a hunt has been launched to nab the attackers and recover the looted cash. (GNS)
