DDC reviews developmental scenario, progress on beneficiary schemes in G’bl

GANDERBAL, SEPTEMBER 25: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress on vital projects and individual beneficiary schemes in the district.

During the meeting, the DDC reviewed the physical and financial progress on the projects under execution in the district.

He sought details from the concerned department and executing agencies regarding the progress achieved and threadbare discussion was also held regarding the delay in completion of various projects for which time lines were fixed in previous meetings.

The DDC exhorted for prioritizing such works and projects that are of public importance and stressed upon the concerned agencies to monitor the execution of ongoing works in the district by way of frequent field visits.

The meeting also reviewed the status of individual beneficiary schemes including Pre-Matric and Post Matric Scholarship, ISSS, NSAP, SMAS, NFBS, PM-KISAN, Ayushman Bharat and KCC in the district besides disbursement of financial assistance to the beneficiaries.

While reviewing the progress on schemes of the Agriculture department, the CAO informed the meeting that under PM-KISAN 30411 farmers are registered till date besides Rs 24.25 crore is credited in the accounts of beneficiaries through DBT. Similarly, under the KCC scheme over 17000 FOFs are covered till date.

Regarding Ayushman Bharat, the CMO informed that 32131 beneficiaries are uploaded out of 42553 beneficiaries besides 28826 Golden cards are also issued.

While reviewing the progress on ISSS and NSAP, DSWO informed the meeting that 31492 cases are sanctioned and pendency is zero under these schemes.

The meeting also discussed the achievement under the Jal Jeevan Mission. The Ex. Engineer Jal Shakti informed that a cent percent target has been achieved connecting 42,575 households with safe drinking water tap connections.

The DDC urged upon all the line departments to ensure cent percent saturation of individual beneficiary schemes is achieved till the end of this month and also asked to ensure maximum awareness is generated among the people during the ongoing Jan Abhiyan campaign so that set targets are achieved on time.

Among others, the meeting was attended by ADC Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmed Baba, ACD, CPO, Executive Engineers of Jal Shakti, I&FC, PDD and other district officers.
