District Admin Ganderbal declares Village Gutlibagh as Red zone

DM visits the area, takes stock of situation
GANDERBAL, APRIL 17: The District Administration Ganderbal today declared village Gutlibagh, tehsil Ganderbal as Red Zone and its surrounding villages-Babawayil and wayilWooder as Buffer Zones after COVID-19 positive case was detected in the area, thus taking toll to 14 in the district
Invoking prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC and Disaster Management Act, 2005, District Magistrate Ganderbal Shafqat Iqbal said that there would be no inward and outward movement of any person from the village declared Red zone and the people would stay in their homes to ensure complete lockdown and warned stern action against the violators as per provisions relevant act.
The District Magistrate Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal, SSP Ganderbal, Khalil Poswaland ADM Ganderbal Farooq Ahmad Baba visited the area to monitor the situation and said that it becomes imperative to take stringent precautionary measures of complete lockdown by declaring village as Red zone and surrounding villages as a buffer zone to break transmission of the disease in the area.
Besides 34 people from Gutlibagh and Mammarhave been quarantined who have come in contact with the infected person, as per the initial reports, he added.
Meanwhile, District Officer Floriculture, Sofi Inam (9622707033) who is nominated as Administrator of Red Zone and Buffer Zones was directed to ensure supply of essential commodities as per laid down protocols in the villages covering both local residents and outside laborers and Tehsildar Ganderbal was directed to ensure the implementation of the directions in letter and spirit.
