Banks, ATMs under red zone to remain closed in Kupwara

Kupwara, Apr 16 : Authorities in north Kashmir’s Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday ordered closure of seven Banks and ATMs in all the Red Zone areas. However, the authorities in the order have assured the service of mobile ATMs.

Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the order to shut the services of seven banks falling under Red Zone areas was taken to avoid the gatherings in wake of deadly COVID-19 outbreak.

Officials said that it has asked the lead district manager Kupwara to ensure the availability of mobile ATMs in red zone areas from 10:00 am to 05:00 pm. Besides, this the lead manager will also act as Nodal Officer and with immediate effects.

The branches asked to remain shut as per the officials include, SBI, CB & JKB Trehgam, Grameen & JKB Drugmulla, JKB USB Branch Manigah and J&K grameen bank Baghbella. The order was issued by District Magistrate Kupwara Anshul Garg
