Offer Taraweeh prayers at home in Ramadhan: Grand Mufti

Srinagar, April 14: Kashmir’s Grand Mufti Nisar-ul-Islam Tuesday urged people to offer mandatory Taraweeh prayers at home, following the prevailing situation.

“Depends on the appearance of moon, the holy month of Ramdhan would start from last week of April. People should offer prayers in their homes including Taraweeh prayers,” Mufti said.

Earlier this month, in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic, Saudi Arabia has suspended Taraweeh prayers across the country during Ramadhan and urged people to pray at homes.

“We should needy, poor, destitute and orphans and help them with food, clothes and charity during the holy month,” he added.JKNS
