Pakistani troops shell forward posts along LoC in Uri

Srinagar, April 7 (GNS): Pakistan army resorted to heavy shelling by mortars along the LoC in Uri sector of northern Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

“Today evening at around 7:05 pm, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing from small arms and shelling mortars along the LoC in Hajipeer area of Uri,” an official said.

Indian troops guarding the Line of Control (LoC) have retaliated resulting in exchange of fire which is going on till the reports last came in from the area, reports said.
