4 Army Men, 2 BSF Personnel Injured In Shelling Along LoC In Sunderbani

Rajouri/ Poonch, April 3: Six government forces personnel were injured after Pakistani army resorted to “unprovoked firing” along the Line of Control (LoC) in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

A police official told GNS that the Pakistani troops resorted to firing of small arms and shelling with mortars in Dadal, Malla area of Sunderbani sector early morning today.

“In the shelling, four army soldiers and two BSF personnel manning the fence suffered injuries,” the officer said, adding that the Indian army retaliated befittingly.

Sources said that the injured men were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Among the injured, sources said that four army soldiers were shifted to the army’s command hospital in Udhampur for specialized treatment.

Meanwhile, the armies of India and Pakistan trade fire in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district today evening.

Pakistan resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation in Krishna Ghati sector of the Poonch district today at around 5:00 pm by firing of small arms and shelling with mortars, an army officer said, adding that the soldiers manning the fence retaliated strongly. (GNS)
