Tripura CM walks back home on foot at midnight

Agartala, Mar 18: Though it was not clear of his intention, Tripura Chief Minister
Biplab Kumar Deb on Tuesday returned home from civil secretariat at mid night on
foot walking about 5.5 kilometres distance with skeleton security.
According to report, Deb has been in the office till 2240 hrs and his convoy was
ready to escort him back home. Suddenly, he changed the decision and commanded
his team to walk on the street. Immediately, city police stepped up security in the
street and CM began his journey.
“It took about 20 minutes for CM to reach home,” said a senior police officer adding
that chief minister loves to walk and whenever gets chance he walks and do regular
exercise.
However, BJP sources claimed that Deb ventured to see the situation of city and
security arrangement at night, which has never been happened in the state before.
There has been a conspiracy against the government raising the blame of
deteriorating law and order situation recently where police is accused of dereliction
of duty, party sources pointed out.
