Police arrests wanted stone pelter in Srinagar

Srinagar, Mar 16 : Police arrested a wanted stone pelter in the summer capital, Srinagar, a police official said here on Monday.

The police official said that following specific information about presence of the wanted stone pelter in Soura area, a police team conducted a raid and nabbed the accused on Sunday.

He said the accused has been identified as Mudasir Ahmad Kundo alias Mithayi, a resident of Aanchar Soura Srinagar. “The accused was evading his arrest since 2010 and was involved in 11 FIRs of stone pelting,” he said.

He said police is committed to protect life and property of the people and seeks public cooperation in curbing the anti-social elements in Srinagar.
