‘Govt is in a stupor’, Rahul steps up attack over response to Coronovirus threat

New Delhi, Mar 13 : Describing the Coronavirus as a ‘huge problem’, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi, on Friday, continues his attack on Narendra Modi government over its response to the deadly virus, saying ‘the government is in a stupor’.
‘I will keep repeating this. The Coronavirus is a huge problem. Ignoring the problem is a non solution’, Mr Gandhi tweeted, while retweeting his February 12 post, in which he had said, ‘The Coronavirus is an extremely serious threat to our people and our economy. My sense is the government is not taking this threat seriously. Timely action is critical’.
The Congress leader also repeated that ‘the Indian economy will be destroyed if strong action is not taken’ and added, ‘the government is in a stupor’.
On Thursday, while addressing the media, Mr Gandhi alleged that, ‘There is no preparation for Coronavirus. The Indian government is asleep that they do not realise. The disease is spreading in this country. It is going to have devastating consequences. Our Prime Minister is sleeping at the wheel. Unfortunately I am telling that he does not understand the things. We are heading on the highway for an accident, as nation’.
