Syed Altaf Bukhari to be President of “Apni Party” Decision taken during high-level meet held at Bukhari’s residence

Srinagar Mar 07, (KNS): Former PDP leader Syed Altaf Bukhari will be the President of new political outfit “Apni Party”.
Sources told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that a high-level meet is underway at Sheikhbagh residence of former PDP leader Syed Altaf Bukhari where at least 20 to 25 former MLC’s & MLA are present.
Sources said, “Bukhari had invited like-minded former MLA’s and MLC’s for dinner at his residence where discussions are on for new political outfit which is scheduled to be launched on March 8, Sunday.
Sources while divulging details said former minister Ghulam Hassan Mir, who was also a member of constitutional committee of new political formation headed by Mohammad Dilawar Mir, recommended Bukhari’s name for party president which was seconded by former NC leader Vijay Bakaya and others.
They said Bukhari’s name for party president was unanimously agreed by all participants. The meeting was also attended by former MLA Sonawar Ashraf Mir who on Saturday late evening resigned from PDP’s basic
membership.

Moreover former Congress leader Aijaz Khan, former NC leader Vijay
Bakaya, Manjit Singh, Farooq Andrabi were also present at the
occasion.
