Sensex bounces back by 173 pts

Mumbai, :  The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday bounced back by 173 points to open at 39,009.95 as fresh buying was seen in Health Care, Bankex and Telecom stocks
amid positive global cues.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose by 62 points to 11,614.75.
Later, it went in red as heavy selling was seen in Materials, Energy, Finance, Utilities, Realty and Power stocks.
In scrips VEDL, IndusInd Bank, SBI, HeroMoto Corp and Tata Steel slipped while Infosys, Yes Bank, Sun Pharma and Maruti Suzuki rallied.
The gainers were Infosys by 5.45 pc to Rs 766.75, Yes Bank by 3.29 pc to Rs 97.25, Sun Pharma by 1.85 pc to Rs 415.25 and Maruti Suzuki by 0.68 pc to Rs 6012.80.
The losers were VEDL by 2.39 pc to Rs 163.70, IndusInd Bank by 1.55 pc to Rs 1486.90, SBI by 1.31 pc to Rs 358.80, HeroMoto Corp by 1.31 pc to Rs 2535.50.
