BJP working prez Nadda to visit UP on July 5; several agenda on cards

Lucknow, :  With Uttar Pradesh set to get a new BJP president and expansion of the Yogi Adityanath ministry on the cards, the new BJP working president J P Nadda is slated to visit the state capital on July 5.
Mr Nadda ,who was UP in-charge during the Lok Sabha polls, was nominated as the new working president of the party and this will be his first visit to Lucknow after getting elevated to the new post.
The visit of Mr Nadda, comes a day before the launching of the membership drive of the party by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Varanasi on July 6.
During his day-long visit, the BJP working president will hold a meeting with the party’s state executive members and would be closeted with the present UP BJP president and Union minister Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey and chief minister Yogi Adityanath. The visit will also finalise the name for the new state president after the present president Dr Pandey had been made the Union minister.
The party leaders will also sit to discuss over the bypolls to 12 assembly seats in near future.
Besides, Mr Nadda will also give his nod for the expansion of the Yogi ministry since there are several vacancies. Three state ministers have resigned after being elected to the Lok Sabha while Om Prakash Rajbhar of the Suheldeo Bharatiya Samaj Party(SBSP) was sacked just after the Lok Sabha polls.
UP BJP general secretary Vijay Bahadur Pathak said here on Tuesday the proposed visit of Mr Nadda will be an important one when there are several things on the agenda mostly organisational.
” There would be several rounds of meeting on the day when the party working president will discuss over the membership drive and other agenda to strengthen the organisation at the ground level,” he said.
Meanwhile, BJP have geared up for making the first visit of Mr Nadda as the working president of the party in a grand way. The leader is likely to arrive at the state party office from the airport on July 5 through a road show while being felicitated at different places on the way.
Mr Nadda, had played an important role in the 2019 Lok Sabha Polls when the party and its ally won 64 out of 80 seats.
The BJP aims to induct 50 lakh new members in the party in Uttar Pradesh for which meetings have been going on at different levels. JP Nadda, who is known to be well versed with the on-ground situation in the state, said BJP’s organizational structure will be on his priority.
