India win toss, opt to bat against Afghanistan

Southampton, :  India won the toss and opted to bat first against Afghanistan here at the Rose Bowl stadium on Saturday.
India will look to strengthen their position in the top four of the points table, Afghanistan who are yet to win a game in the tournament will be searching for their first win.
If India wins this match, this will be their 50th World Cup victory.
On the other hand, Afghanistan’s World Cup campaign is in a mess. Bottom-placed Afghanistan have larger problems to deal.
Aghanistan’s star leg-spinner Rashid Khan has failed to deliver the goods for his side. He was smashed for over 100 runs in 9 overs against England.
