Ruling party, Oppn have roles to play for nation: Parl Affairs Minister

New Delhi, : Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi, ahead of the start of maiden session of the newly-constituted 17th Lok Sabha, on Monday said the ruling party and the Opposition have roles to play for the country and that Prime minister Narendra Modi has guided everyone to work together for the nation.
Mr Joshi told reporters, ‘As per mandate, ruling party and the opposition have roles to play for the country. The Prime Minister has guided us to work together for the nation. We all are making efforts towards that.”
On Sunday he had told reporters that Prime Minister Modi has urged leaders of all parties to “introspect whether members of Parliament are able to fulfill people’s aspirations as their representatives”.
The reference was obviously to the time wasted in the 16th Lok Sabha.
The session started with administration of oath to 542 members of the 17th Lok Sabha.
On Sunday, Mr Modi assured the people that his government will tirelessly work in the true spirit of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’ and strive for an inclusive development with trust of all sections of the society.
